THE FOLLOWING IS HOW THE HOLY SPIRIT MANIFESTED ITSELF TO THE CHURCH
Acts 2:1 " And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with
one accord in one place. Acts 2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as
of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
Acts
2:3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon
each of them. Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to
speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Acts 2:12 And
they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?
Acts
2:13 Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.
Acts 2:14 But Peter,
standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea,
and all [ye] that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
Acts
2:15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is [but] the third hour
of the day. Acts 2:16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; Acts
2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my
Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your
young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: Acts 2:18 And on
my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and
they shall prophesy:
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be
baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,
and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:39 For the promise is
unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, [even] as many as the
Lord our God shall call.
Acts 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with
all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
WHAT IS THE HOLY SPIRIT? AND HOW DOES
IT RELATE TO GOD'S PLAN?
1 Corinthians 2:10 But God hath revealed [them]
unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep
things of God. 1Corinthians 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the
spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the
Spirit of God. 1 Corinthians 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world,
but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given
to us of God. 1 Corinthians 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which
man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things
with spiritual. 1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of
the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them],
because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians 2:15 But he that is spiritual
judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 1 Corinthians 2:16 For who
hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of
Christ.
From the above it is revealed that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of
God the father, and is a gift from "Yahweh" God the Father and our Lord
Jesus Christ/Yahshua to help us proclaim his kingdom, preach and teach others this
"Good News". So that all might live, who believe and accept him as their
personal savior and king. John 3:16-21.
HOLY SPIRIT EMPOWERS US
As
ambassadors of Jesus Christ (Yahshua), we are given certain special abilities to
aid us in proclaiming that Jesus is Lord and that he wants all to be saved.
He doesn't want anyone to go before his father in final judgement. For that reward
will be endless destruction. Revelations chapters 9, 11, 17 and 20.
These special
abilities are not from us and therefore can leave us if we fall out of line with
Jesus and/or the Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 12:1 Now concerning spiritual
[gifts], brethren, I would not have you ignorant. 1 Corinthians 12:2 Ye know that
ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led. 1 Corinthians
12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of
God calleth Jesus accursed: and [that] no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but
by the Holy Ghost. 1 Corinthians 12:4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but
the same Spirit.
1 Corinthians12:5 And there are differences of administrations,
but the same Lord.1 Corinthians 12:6 And there are diversities of operations, but
it is the same God which worketh all in all.1 Corinthians 12:7 But the manifestation
of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 1 Corinthians 12:8 For to one
is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the
same Spirit; 1 Corinthians 12:9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the
gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 1 Corinthians 12:10 To another the working of
miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another [divers]
kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 1 Corinthians 12:11 But
all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally
as he will.
THE HOLY SPIRIT DOESN'T DIVIDE US, BUT MAN'S OWN ARROGANCE
TO STEP OUT OF
GOD'S ORDER DOES
1 Corinthians 12:12 For as the body
is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many,
are one body: so also [is] Christ.
1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we
all baptized into one body, whether [we be] Jews or Gentiles, whether [we
be] bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1 Corinthians
12:14 For the body is not one member, but many. 1 Corinthians 12:15 If the
foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore
not of the body? 1 Corinthians 12:16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the
eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? 1 Corinthians 12:17 If
the whole body [were] an eye, where [were] the hearing? If the whole [were] hearing,
where [were] the smelling? 1 Corinthians 12:18 But now hath God set the members every
one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. 1 Corinthians 12:19 And if they
were all one member, where [were] the body? 1 Corinthians 12:20 But now [are they]
many members, yet but one body. 1 Corinthians 12:21 And the eye cannot say unto the
hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.1
Corinthians 12:22 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more
feeble, are necessary: 1 Corinthians 12:23 And those [members] of the body, which
we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our
uncomely [parts] have more abundant comeliness.
1 Corinthians 12:24 For our comely
[parts] have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more
abundant honour to that [part] which lacked: 1 Corinthians12:25 That there should
be no schism in the body; but [that] the members should have the same care one for
another. 1 Corinthians 12:26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer
with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. 1 Corinthians
12:27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. 1 Corinthians 12:28
And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly
teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities
of tongues. 1 Corinthians 12:29 [Are] all apostles? [are] all prophets? [are] all
teachers? [are] all workers of miracles? 1 Corinthians 12:30 Have all the gifts of
healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret? 1 Corinthians 12:31 But covet
earnestly the best gifts: and yet show I unto you a more excellent way.
1
Corinthians 14:1 Follow after charity, and desire spiritual [gifts],
but rather that ye may prophesy.
1 Corinthians 14:2 For he that speaketh
in an [unknown] tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth
[him]; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.
1 Corinthians 14:3 But
he that prophesieth speaketh unto men [to] edification, and exhortation, and comfort.
ALL
SPIRITUAL GIFTS ARE FROM GOD AND THEREFORE ARE ALL GOOD TO HIS GLORY, AND
ARE USED DIFFERENTLY FOR A GIVEN PURPOSE. (Special Note: 1 Peter 4:
11 " Don't criticize and speak evil about each other, dear brothers. If you
do you will be fighting against God's law loving one another, declaring it is wrong".
1 John 4:13 " And he has put his own Holy Spirit into our hearts as a
proof to us that we are living with him and he with us."; Ephesians
4: 6, 7) (TLB)
THE SPIRIT OF GOD HAS TO BE INCORPORATED
IN YOUR LIFE, ITS A MUST & VERY NECESSARY
Has anyone said to you, it was a pleasure to see you and "really meant it"?
Or, thanked you for a kind word and/or an act you did for them without a hidden motive?
Is so, then you have a good start on things. The fruits of God's Spirit are vastly
different for the Spirit in this world and it protects us if we aline ourselves with
it.
Colossians 3:11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor
uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond [nor] free: but Christ [is] all, and in
all. Colossians 3:12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels
of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Colossians 3:13
Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against
any: even as Christ forgave you, so also [do] ye. Colossians 3:14 And above all these
things [put on] charity, which is the bond of perfectness. Colossians 3:15 And let
the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body;
and be ye thankful. Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in
all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual
songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Colossians 3:17 And whatsoever
ye do in word or deed, [do] all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God
and the Father by him.
Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the
Lord, and in the power of his might. Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God,
that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:12 For we
wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in
high [places]. Ephesians 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that
ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians
6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the
breastplate of righteousness; Ephesians 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation
of the gospel of peace; Ephesians 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith
ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. Ephesians 6:17 And
take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Ephesians
6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching
thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Ephesians
6:23 Peace [be] to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the
Lord Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 6:24 Grace [be] with all them that love our Lord
Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
